Coaching Program

Coaching Program

You used to be fit. But for years you’ve prioritised your work and the needs of other people ahead of your own wellbeing.

It’s left you feeling weak and lethargic. And out of control.

Time to reclaim your strength, energy and fitness. For yourself, for the outdoor activities you love, and for others who rely on you to lead. For life.

You don’t want to be a gym junkie. You see fitness as an means to an end. To help you accomplish the things that are important to you.

You’re busy. You want simple home / travel strength workouts tailored to your body. Workouts that you can get into instead of overthinking, analysing and calculating what to do or how to do it. Save your brain power elsewhere and use the workouts to reset your mind.

You’re a foodie. For you, food is a way to connect and experience. You don’t want to follow a restrictive meal plan that some fitness nut dictates to you. Instead, you want to master the basic healthy eating principles to build your diet around the foods you love. Keen to only eat foods that are grown on the finest grains of Ethiopian sand? Done.

And you want to learn how to keep your fat loss, strength and energy for the rest of your life. Regardless of what life throws at you.

“Because of our work together, I’m achieving things now that I never thought possible.”

Relaxing, enjoying life, and choosing to make healthy choices and being active will make life much more fulfilling and rewarding than over analysing and obsessing about every tiny detail.

My new goal is to not sweat the small things. Joonas, you got me to this place, so thank you!

My promise to you.

I will promise that you will become a person who welcomes each new day with energy. You will feel more confident about yourself. Both physically and mentally.

Instead of feeling reserved because of pain or lack of fitness, you’ll have the strength and energy to make the difference you seek in your life and work.

You will change how you age. Instead of being nervous and worried, you will feel confident about the future.

“My body is changing for the better without having to follow gruelling workouts, restrictive diets, or eating plans.”

“I had my apprehensions about signing up for coaching. For one, I wasn’t sure if I was ready for the commitment. I was also hesitant because of the fear of doing something that’s way out of my comfort zone. But I was also adamant that if I am serious about improving my health, I should give it a go.

What’s different about Joonas compared to other trainers I’ve met in the past is how personable he is. It’s his ability to make me feel comfortable, which put me at ease. Especially when I was just starting out. When I first met him, he asked a lot of questions about my goals and the reasons behind them. And genuinely wanting to know the type of person I am.

My initial goals were to become stronger and to improve my overall health. In nine months, I’ve gotten noticeable improvements in both. I also have more energy and stamina for cycling, hiking and everyday life with friends and family.”

It’s not right for everyone. But it might be right for you.

I promise you won’t always enjoy it. Even reasonable change requires patience, introspection, and consistent work. It will take time. Probably longer than you’d like. If you have more than 10kg to lose, I can’t help. But if it’s somewhere around 2-10kg mark, I am your guy. Although, we don’t track weight in this program.

Lastly, this program will challenge you. You will feel even vulnerable. It will be uncomfortable. But if you really want this, I promise all of it will be worth your investment in trust, time, effort and money.

Coaching is like a dance.

We have to move together. I will provide you with support, accountability, clarity, and direction so you can stop second guessing what to do. But you have to show up to do the work. Even when you don’t feel like it.

I can’t drag you to your goals by being a drill sergeant yelling and dictating meals plans, cookie cutter solutions or injecting fake motivation. I can’t make you want to do something you don’t want to do. We have to work together as a team. Sometimes you eat ice cream. Sometimes you don’t. That’s life.

Here’s the commitment.

  1. Building strength, fitness and reaching sustainable fat loss takes time. Did I mention this is a six-month commitment?
  2. Commit to doing two simple 30-40 minute strength workouts each week.
  3. Allocate 10-20 minutes each week to think and answer the weekly reflection questions.
  4. Embrace simplicity. Even boredom. Have the discipline to show up even when the motivation is low. Both in training and with the food habits.
  5. Share your struggles so I can help you overcome them.

“I was suffering from shoulder and back pain, and a knee injury from doing the Oxfam 100 km hike two years ago. I had to stop hiking because of it.”

Now my shoulder pains have gone entirely. No more tight hamstrings or hips. I no longer need a fortnightly massage to untie those knots. I have started smaller hikes again and snowboarding without any pain in my knees. And my overall fitness has improved. I was boarding seven days on a recent snow trip. I’ve changed my overall outlook on fitness and nutrition and I am stronger, healthier and leaner because of it.
